So, how does this dog get home? Well, I'm sad to say, he won't.

This healthy dog was picked up by a humane organization which operates in Marietta Georgia. This organization is 100% committed and the people are very compassionate and caring. However, they are under-funded and so they have no scanners to detect a microchip if one were present in this dog. There are seven possible microchips that could be in this dog. Five of these microchip companies are now out of business. This dog belongs to someone, and even he even has a name, but because of the lack of standardization, and a lack of funding to provide all brands of scanners to all humane organizations, he will now find a new home in someone else's house.

Tattoos are the answer for dogs and cats. They're non removable. They're obvious. They're simple. They're safe. And best of all, anyone who finds your dog or cat can interpret the identification.
